I want to be in a room full of women where there is no apologizing for this or that personal lack. I want to be in a room full of women where we pull out our latest accomplishment to show everyone as easily we might pull out a new dress we just bought… and everyone "ooh's" and "ahh's." I want to be in a room full of women who believe that "HER" success and victory is as wonderful as "MY" success and victory--and in fact they are one in the same. I want to be in a room full of women who are full of heart for one another. I want to be in a room full of women where I don't have to play small to be seen as humble, or play big to be seen as good enough. In short, I want to be in a room full of women where we are not playing :AT: anything… and yet there is so much play… it becomes a dance.
I'm not the only one who wishes--no, LONGS for this. All women do. We are done with the old, outdated, suffocating ways of being with each other. We want inner freedom, but also outer freedom. We want to be celebrated, not raced with. We want to be honored, not spoken against.
So much of life is beyond our control. But being this kind of woman, and gathering with others of the same intention, is not beyond our control. For the last decade, I've led groups of women who LIVED this truth. Not because it was on the "rules" list, but because we all wanted it so much, it happened. Each one of us was surprised, and then, over the years, I was no longer surprised. Only once, in all those years, was there a problem between two of my travelers. Once, in a decade? So I know it is possible. I know it is desired. I know it is hungered for. And I know, with the intention of true beauty blossoming, it occurs.
But now I must question you… Are you such a woman? Are you capable of showing up in this way. If not, how might you become one? We need you. We want to be safe around you, and for you. We want to change the rules of the game. We are desperate to change the rules of the game. It's in our power, and so it is in your power.
Hear us cheering you on.
